| Ну вот, сегодня завершилась активная фаза второй кампании российских фанатов «Поздравь Саммер Глау!»
Вчера пытался как следует сфотографировать шкатулку напоследок, но она ни фига не получилась (уже темно на улице было, а в комнате освещение и вспышка дают блики. Но самое главное, что не видно очень мелких деталей, тонких золотых мазков. Ну да ладно. Главное, чтобы Саммер увидела.
С утра пошёл на почту. Почему-то в Америке редкая почта работает в субботу, а если работает, то до обеда. Ближайшая ко мне как раз работала. В начале отстоял очередь за марками. Наклеил марки и подписал конверт для ответа.
Потом упаковал посылку. Снова отстоял очередь , сдал посылку, получил чек. Пойдёт приоритетно и со страховкой.
Из сопроводительного письма:
So when I was going on this trip to US, the Russian fans didn’t miss a chance to express their love and respect to Ms Glau via those small presents.
There’s a jewel box that was painted by Palekh painter Marina Krasnova.
Palekh is a famous place in Russia for its traditional folk craft- Russian Lacquer Miniature painting (you can read about it and see some famous Palekh works in the enclosed book).
Marina gave me this Jewel Box with those words:
“This is very traditional Palekh painting theme about the beginning of summertime. There is a girl with some resemblance to Summer. She is sunny, sweet, radiant, flowering, and loved by everyone. She’s surrounded by wilderness of flowers, that usually symbolize the beginning of our warm sunny period of the year. The main goal for me was keeping a balance between blackness and the tones of green, red, yellow, white and blue so that bright colors do not overwhelm the black background.
Palekh technology is multilayer drawing, when bottom layers viewable from under translucent coating of the upper layers. It gives volume and energy to the image. And there is also “black and gold”, the one of Palekh painting keystones since the ancient times when gold represented sunlight and bright sides of life. Golden ornament in combination with black gives space and immensity to central image. Hope Summer will like it.”

Also we decided to say Summer our special “thank you!” for her amazing performance in “TSCC” season two and enclose it in a special frame.
We all can’t wait Dollhouse ep,5-6, «Deadly Honeymoon» and wish Summer successful shots in her new western movie
